Income, Expenses and Cash Register

Record your institution's income and expenses by category. See total income, expenses and net result for any date range.

You enter income and expense records with a category, date, amount, payment method and description. The cash register summary shows total income, total expenses and the net amount for the date range you choose.

  • Income and expense categories are defined separately: donations, rent, salaries, supplies, bills and so on.
  • Payment methods are defined, and each method gets its own total.
  • The summary can be taken for a date range or for all records.
  • Tuition fee payments are added to income automatically.
  • A record can be copied to enter a similar one quickly.
  • Lists can be exported to Excel.

Quick setup

  1. Define your categories and payment methods, for example Rent and Salaries, Cash and Bank transfer.
  2. Enter a new record on the Income or Expenses page.
  3. Pick a date range and check the totals.

For institution managers who want to keep income and expenses in the same program. Tuition fee collection and the cash register are not entered separately; a payment is added to income the moment it is recorded.
